Food For Thought…

“Do you really hate someone enough to NOT bring them to eternal life?”

People who don’t believe in Jesus are doomed to the firey depths of hell. Why would ANYONE want to go there? And why would the followers of Jesus NOT do whatever they could to prevent that future for others? Think about it, my followers. It makes a world of a difference when you are determining whether or not talk about Jesus around your peers.

Anonymous asked: Okay, so I'm pretty sure that God wants me to be a missionary in Guatemala after I graduate and that I'll meet the person I'm to marry through that and that he made me promise not to be with anyone else until then.

So do you really think this came from God? I'm pretty sure, and no matter how sure I am I'll go through it even though I'm very frightened.

And what am I today if people ask me out or anything like that, I'm not sure how they would take hearing that really, I think most people would think I'm crazy.

I'm kinda really confused right now, but I also ki kinda feel like i know this for certain, but gfa. This is going to be a struggle and I'll be so proud if I overcome it though, and bring myself to to have the faith in this.

Sorry if there's a lot of typos, I can't see what I'm typing because the askbox doesn't expand :P

I put this disclaimer to all of my answers- keep in mind, as you read this, I have never been professionally educated on these matters. I write about these things from what I have had the privilege to learn, what I’ve experienced, and my beliefs.

Now, I feel as though I have had several directions from God. The ones where he seems to be placing you on the right course- and pointing you in the right direction. It’s a truely incredible thing…

But how do you know what to believe? As God can send signals, the Devil can be just as powerful.

It is all about prayer. Pray, pray, and pray again. Because feelings like these can be incredibly accurate!

I know a 6-people family (who lived VERY comfortably; with a large house, hummer, porshe, and many other materials people may value) who got rid of EVERYTHING and moved into a 3 bedroom, 1 bath apartment in Mission Beach to fulfill their duties as helping with the homeless and less privalged kids of San Diego. This all due to a feeling the two parents got from the Lord. They have been unbelivably sucessful in leading many homeless and teenagers to Christ- who have previously been traveling down the “wrong” path.

Like I said- all due to a feeling. And LOTS of prayer. It took a lot for them to put enough faith into God- trusting Him to do as he would with their lives. But building up that trust and finally following Him- it has done AMAZING things in their lives and the lives of others.

So, take from this story that if you pray and feel it is the right calling -even though it will be difficult- putting enough trust into God to follow his direction… it will do amazing things.

Bless you, you will be in my prayers!

Anonymous asked: Hi I love your blog :)
I was just curious to if you could help me with something!
Basically my best friend is gay. I love him very much but the bible condemns it. Is it okay for us to still be friends? I really love him a lot and he's one of my closest friends... I'm torn.
thank you so much
xx

Hi :) Thank you so much for the love! You, my followers keep me going! I am very thankful for you all :)

As for your question, please keep in mind I have never been professionally educated on these types of things. I write about these things from what I have had the privilege to learn, what I’ve experienced, and what I believe. I will do my best- with my resources- to give you a great answer.

How I have learned- we are sinners. You are a sinner. I am a sinner. Your gay best friend is a sinner. And ultimatlely, all sins result in the same thing. Death…

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” -Romans 6:23

… But all confession, faith in Jesus, and obedience of His word also results in the same thing. Eternal life.

I believe through love, friendship, and care for your all your sinning friends- they can make it to our beautiful Lord as well. And, maybe, being gay is something they are unable to change. This doesn’t mean you shouldnt love him/her like you love any other sinner. Every sinner can be lead to Christ- and be saved.

Much love!

The Lord in Relationships

I haven’t been on in a while… but, 102 followers! Wow, bless you all!

I didn’t post it when everything happened, but in August I got a boyfriend! And now, considering I am in a relationship, based on Christ, I feel like it’s my time to post a little something about relationships :)

Now, this boy is incredible. I couldn’t have asked for more in a boyfriend. He treats me like a princess, he is the most fun to be around, and all in all- a great person to spend high school with! And even though he was amazing when I met him… in these past five months together, we have both grown in our lives, friendships, family relationships, and faith more than we would have imagined.

This because we’ve decided to base our relationship on Christ. That fact has made a world of difference between most of the high school relationships out there.

I’ve actually thought about the way we would be if we didn’t love Jesus… I could see it. Imagining how much we would argue, all the trouble we would get into together, all the un-easy-ness we would feel.

With God, we have peace. We have a base for a relationship to grow on. And with Jesus being love… we also have love. We have patient, kind, trusting, all forgiving love.

Point of this post… imagine your relationship as a pyramid with the girl on one side, boy on the other side, and Jesus at the top. The closer you are to Jesus, the closer you are to each other. Making relationships 20x more beautiful and enjoyable than anyone could imagine.

Merry Christmas!

I am a little late, but… Merry Christmas, everyone!

I hope all of you took time during your gift exchanges, family gatherings, and huge feasts to remember the reason we celebrate Christmas in the first place… Jesus!

If you would like to read the glorious Christmas story, let me remind you of where to find it… Luke 1:5-56 through 2:1-20 :)

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! If you have any questions that need to be answered, or comments, please feel free to ask/submit anything. I need topics to post on as well!

God bless,

Anonymous asked: I wanted to write this in your submissions box but i couldn't do it anonymously so i had to put it here. This morning i had possibly the worst dream of my entire life. I dreamt about the rapture, that Jesus came down. It was amazing, from what i can remember of my dream the sky lit up with all these colours and everyone was in awe. Then it started, people started rising up to heaven, the Christians, the ones who had been following Jesus. I was with my friends at the time but i could see my Mum, step Dad and my sister going up, except i wasn't. I woke up after this and cried, praying to God, asking forgiveness because of the way i live my life. I don't know if this was some twisted dream Satan had any influence on, to make me unsure of how i live or the things i do, and whether i'm going to heaven or not, but it was and still is really scary. I'm so glad i've found a tumblr that doesn't post anything that's not about God, i'm so tired of people posting degrading pictures of women, or of people dieing ect. I would just like to say thank you :) You're doing a terrific job on this blog!

This is so interesting to me. As I read this, I even got the chills. Please keep in mind, as you read this, I have never been professionally educated on these types of things. I write about these things from what I have had the privilege to learn, what I’ve experienced, and just what I believe.

I have had direct experiences demons. I have consulted my church leader about these experiences- feeling hard pushes of air to the back of my head, seeing strange figures at all different times of the day, and being unable to focus on prayers/reading the bible because of presences that seem to be standing around me.

It is scary, knowing that you have have experienced something SO “out of this world,” or something as spiritual as DEMONS. You wonder WHY? What does this mean!? What am I supposed to do!?

Don’t let them scare you. They are attempting to get into your head, to scare you away from the Lord you love so much. They are the enemy of the Lord, they do not want you to become closer to Him, so they will try to frighten you. They will try to scare you in anyway they can try; uneasy feelings, bad dreams, scaring “visions”, and getting into your thoughts.

But you must keep in mind that God is always with you and He will always protect you, ALWAYS. Have trust in Him, take your fears to Him in prayer, and please stay strong in your faith.

And thank you very much! I love writing this blog. All these comments and questions (even though I have not posted many) are what keeps me going. You are all so awesome.

Best of luck and God bless,
Meghan

THE HIP-HOP CULTURE AND JESUS

I hope you enjoyed this series, or at least got SOMETHING out of it. I wanted to get across that the hip-hop culture should be CHERISHED, like any other culture. Instead of being judged right off the bat! Because… being in love with Jesus and the hip-hop culture can be a beautiful thing. It is one of the many ways to reach out to those down-in-the-dumps kids or to just express yourself- in your love of God and all the interesting things in life!

Thank you for following my blog, and if you aren’t following me- thanks for reading this! I appreciate you ALL, and I thank you with ALL of my heart for your support. Please expect more posts in the near future! :) You guys make this blog is so much fun to write!

THE HIP-HOP CULTURE AND JESUS

EVERYONE AND JESUS

Gangsters, drug addicts, alcoholics and Jesus. Let’s start with a question: if any type of those people were put in front of you- and God blessed you with an opportunity to share his word… would you? Or would you walk away- thinking they are hopeless and unable to receive the salvation of our Lord?

I think the thing we all have to keep in mind that everyone has the potential to be saved. No matter what crimes we have committed, no matter how much we have sinned… God will love and save them no matter what point in their life- as long as they believe- as stated here…

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” -John 3:16

WHOEVER belives in Him shall not perish but have eternal life!!! The gangsters, the drug addicts, the alcoholics, the people that seem to have no hope, and the people that are just down… they should not be given up on/passed up. Just because it looks difficult or as if they are hopeless… it only takes one person to begin a change someone’s life. You could be that one person that changes that boy’s life by a quick conversation. You could be that one person that invites that girl to church and shows her Christ- SAVING HER! Do not be afraid because they may not seem as open to it as others. Accept the challenge and TRY!

And if they don’t accept it right then and there… don’t get down on yourself. Maybe God has not changed opened their heart to accept Him yet. Or maybe you have started a hidden change inside of them. Isn’t that better than doing nothing at all? I challenge you- strive to be that one person that starts someone’s journey with Jesus.

THE HIP-HOP CULTURE AND JESUS

RAP MUSIC AND JESUS
Who would have thought? Graffiti and Jesus being associated is weird enough… but now, here we are with bumpin’ rap representing Jesus’ name. And it isn’t half bad. Quite frankly, if I wasn’t paying attention to the lyrics, it sound like a badass rap song! And if you are into rap and Jesus- it’s the best of both worlds! Plus you are staying true to our Man upstairs.

There are many Christian rap groups, but sadly not many people have heard of them or then marked it off and contradicting/stupid when heard about. This is crazy! This music is incredible. It reaches out to hip-hop junkies, the Jesus lovers, and ties them both together- as they enjoy the same music! What a cool conversation starter? I can imagine a conversation…
“What are you listening to?”
“Oh, just some Jesus rap.”
Sounds crazy, but is sure to get a convo going about our Lord!

So… now you interested on hearing this? Well… a few Christian rap artists I am a fan of are Corey Red & Precise, LeCrae, Trip Lee, Sean Slaughter, T-Bone, and Mr. Del (a former Three Six Mafia member!). But their are tons more out there- all you need to do is hit up Youtube or Google!

Hope I opened your eyes to the “cooler” side of Christianity. Please message me with any comments/questions. I’d love to hear it all!

GRAFFITI AND JESUS
Graffiti and Jesus? How does this work out?!

At first, this sounds terrible. Why would anyone want to dirty Jesus’ name with vandalism? That is illegal! That is terrible! It makes us look hypocritical, yeah? Promoting holyness then going out and commiting crimes?!

But… erase those thoughts and take a deeper look into this.

We obviously all know that not EVERYONE is blessed with incredible artistic abilities, especially when it comes to graffiti art. Let’s not lie; most of us think that it looks awesome, tried to do it, but end up failing miserably… right? So- lets agree that God has given great graffiti skills to some people.

And if God has given them these skills, and if they are able to use it for his worship and glory- to reach out to kids on the streets, reach out to kids stuck in the projects, reach out to kids that are lost and needing guidance- doesn’t that sound awesome? I would hope that EVERY Christian would agree that reaching out to those type of kids, and being effective in their lives, is a GREAT thing. And if graffiti does that… doesn’t that make graffiti a GREAT thing, too?

If you are interested in learning more about the man that effectivly does this, please read the interview below. And after you are done, send me a message/question with any comments on graffiti and Jesus :) I’d love to hear and post them!
